Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has spoken on the current state of Blues midfielder Denis Zakaria.

The Swiss international joined Chelsea on loan from Juventus with the option to buy.

However, Zakaria is yet to feature for Chelsea, and sometimes doesn’t even make the bench.

According to Romano, it’s a worrying situation for the midfielder, who could assess the situation in January.

Speaking on the situation of Denis Zakaria at Chelsea, Fabrizio Romano said: “The situation is worrying – Zakaria is not playing, he was wanted by Tuchel who planned him as a starter.

“Under Potter he’s not playing, not even on the bench. The clubs and player will speak again, because at the moment this deal makes no sense for anyone.”
