Graham Potter heavily rotated his squad to face Wolves, and it was an experiment that worked very well, with Chelsea winning the game 3-0.

Goals from Kai Havertz, Christian Pulisic and Armando Broja sealed a massive win for Chelsea.

Former Liverpool defender Nicol was impressed by Chelsea’s win over Wolves and believes that Christian Pulisic has sent a message to his manager with his performance.

“It’s difficult to put your finger on the changes Graham Potter has made [since Thomas Tuchel’s sacking], but it’s probably that every Chelsea player has a little skip in their step,” Nicol told ESPN.

“When you get a new manager it’s almost like a new start and all the players are desperate to make Potter happy and show what they can do.

“I guess today, someone like Pulisic absolutely did that. He could’ve scored in the first half but he made up for it with his goal after half-time.

“If you’re Pulisic, you’re going home happy because you’ve given Potter something to think about.”
