AC Milan currently top Champions League Group E, having taken four points from their first two games, whereas Chelsea are bottom of the group with just a point.

Chelsea now have what seems like a must-win Champions League clash with the Milan club in order to boost the club’s chances of coming out from the group.

Chelsea manager Graham Potter has admitted that Chelsea have a difficult game at hand, but would do everything to get a win.

On Chelsea’s next Champions League opponents, Potter said: “We are playing against a different team, a different way of playing. A top team, just like Salzburg, every game is different.

“We have to be really, really good to get the result we want. We try for three points, it’s important to win your home games but we are playing against a top opponent. We have to create a top atmosphere for our fans.”

Olivier Giroud has been in fine form for AC Milan this season, with 6 goals in 10 games so far this season.

Graham Potter has insisted that his side must pay attention to the 36-year-old striker.

“Giroud is someone Chelsea know very well,” Potter said.

“He is a fantastic player and plays the game in a really good way, using his quality and strengths.

“He is a quality player for Milan. We have to be really good to get the result we want because they are a top team. It’s a massive challenge for us and an exciting challenge.”
