Chelsea and AC Milan will fight it out at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night, in a very important Champions League fixture.
The Italian side are having an injury crisis and will be without nine players when they face Chelsea on Wednesday.
AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has reacted to his side’s injury situation and insists his side would do everything to win the game.
“Injuries can happen, the tight schedule doesn’t help. I am accompanied by capable professionals who will help us find solutions,” Pioli said.
“I ask the team to play with our qualities and to give our best. I’m sure the team will try.”
On relying on young players, Pioli said: “I believe that the club has made very specific choices, to build a team with a lot of youngsters and mix it with more mature, and experienced players.
“I think it’s the best mix. With young people you need patience and time to grow. Having teammates like Olivier [Giroud], [Simon] Kjaer, Zlatan [Ibrahimovic] is a great support: we are talking about young people who are already ready for these important challenges.”
