Chelsea boss Graham Potter was full of praise for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga in the 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace.

Kepa has been Chelsea’s number 2 goalkeeper since the signing of Edouard Mendy two years ago.

Kepa who was signed for £72m has been unable to keep hold of his shirt since Mendy joined the club, but since the injury to Mendy, the Spaniard has been given a run of games and did well against the Eagles.

Potter was pleased with the goalkeeper’s performance, as he hailed not only his saves, but his distribution as well.

“I thought he did really well,” said Potter.

“He made a couple of big saves but I thought his distribution and decision making was also strong.

“Ultimately, we need players to step up and I feel he did that today.”
