Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed Real Madrid transfer target Christopher Nkunku is close to completing a move to Chelsea ahead of the summer transfer window in 2023 after undergoing a Chelsea medical.

Reports recently emerged that Nkunku recently had a Chelsea medical and Romano has now confirmed those reports.

“All parties involved in Christoper Nkunku deal wanted to keep Chelsea medical secret, but it really took place few weeks ago,” Fabrizio Romano tweeted.

“Not done yet, as Chelsea & Leipzig will discuss about fee/payment terms. Plan B: triggering €60m clause in 2023,” he adds.

The 24-year-old has scored 55 goals and provided 48 assists in 148 appearances for RB Leipzig.
