Former Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori was highly rated at Chelsea.
Tomori, now 24, is a product of the Chelsea academy, but was sold under former Blues boss Frank Lampard, despite having performed well for Chelsea.
The England international was sold to AC Milan for a fee of around £28m back in 2021, and he has since evolved in his game.
Tomori played a key role last season as he helped the club to their first league title in 11 years – in his second year at the San Siro.
Tomori’s form has seen him called up to the England squad by Gareth Southgate.
Italy legend Giorgio Chiellini has revealed his shock at how Tomori’s game has developed.
“He surprised me because I saw him in Chelsea and I didn’t think he could be so strong in the box [or] attentive for 90 minutes,” the Italian told the Times.
“He is one of the keys of Milan winning last year.”
