Chelsea star Christian Pulisic has been slammed for his comments about former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.
Pulisic and his dad had often been critical of Thomas Tuchel due to his lack of playing minutes under the German.
Christian Pulisic’s first autobiography, titled ‘Pulisic: My Journey So Far’, is set to be published on October 11, and he lashed out at Tuchel for treating him poorly in our Champions League winning season.
In an excerpt from the book, the American claimed he was ‘dumbfounded’ by Thomas Tuchel’s decision to drop him in favour of Kai Havertz.
Pulisic was referring to Chelsea’s second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid last year.
Tuchel’s decision paid off as Chelsea played out a 1–1 draw with Real Madrid, and went through on away goals.
Former Liverpool, West Ham and Everton midfielder Don Hutchison, has slammed Pulisic for being a cry baby.
Hutchison said on ESPN FC: “Oh, my days! I mean, it is ridiculously naive of Pulisic. Alright, it’s his book, so he feels as though he’s got his little say against Thomas Tuchel, but is he not naive enough to think that Tuchel won’t be happy and he’ll be having words with other managers?
“Managers change their minds. What happens to you? You’re a little bit gutted, you’re a little bit upset. But it all just sounds a little bit babyish to me. Pulisic having a whinge. What is the point? What does he gain from it? I think it’s naive from Pulisic, I don’t know what he gains from it.
“I think it destroys any relationship that Tuchel will ever have with Pulisic. It destroys the fact that if Tuchel got a job elsewhere he would sign Pulisic. Managers talk, I wouldn’t be surprised if Tuchel or Graham Potter is having a conversation, not so much about Pulisic but the individuals in the dressing room.”
