A group of Chelsea’s first team stars that didn’t go on international duty, have returned to Cobham for training after a period of time off.

New boss Graham Potter has been working with the players on ground, and Potter has been busy using the international break to familiarise himself with the club and the players available to him.

The likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Trevoh Chalobah, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Edouard Mendy, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Marcus Bettinelli were all in training on Monday after a period of time off, ahead of a hectic October fixture list.

According to The Athletic, the Chelsea squad played in a behind-closed-doors friendly, where Graham Potter tested out his tactics.

Potter is believed to have played Trevoh Chalobah in a different role.

Chalobah had partnered deadline day signing Denis Zakaria in midfield as the Blues beat Potter’s former club Brighton 2-1 before the international break.

Chalobah who normally plays as a centre-back, operated in a defensive midfield position as Potter tested the versatility of some of his players.
