Thiago, nicknamed ‘the monster’, featured for the first 45 minutes in Le Harve before being replaced by Juventus defender Bremer for the second half.

Thiago’s appearance for Brazil against Ghana is his 108th for the South American nation, which sees him overtake Lucio as the Selecao’s most-capped defender
