Report claims Chelsea would try to swap Lukaku with £100m striker

Chelsea signed up Romelu Lukaku for a massive club record £97.5m fee.

The signing of Lukaku was expected to take Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea to the next level, but after a bright start to last season, it went down from then.

Lukaku’s return wasn’t a successful one, and at the end of the season he decided to call it quits.

The Belgian completed a loan move to Inter Milan during the summer transfer window.

Lukaku is still a Chelsea player and would return at the end of the season.

According to reports, Chelsea would try to make an audacious bid for Tottenham striker Harry Kane during the summer transfer window.

Calciomercatoweb has claimed that Chelsea could offer Romelu Lukaku in exchange for the England captain.

New Blues boss Graham Potter is a huge fan of Kane and would like to work with him at Stamford Bridge.

Antonio Conte is a huge fan of Lukaku on the other hand, and the Belgian would be reunited with Antonio Conte at Tottenham if the deal works, having won the Scudetto together at Inter Milan back in 2020/2021.

The report claims Chelsea would also include cash in the Lukaku and Kane swap deal.

But it’s yet to be seen if Tottenham would accept such an offer from their London rivals.
