Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi sealed a loan move to German side Bayer Leverkusen on a season-long deal.

The Bundesliga side had tried to include a purchase option in the deal, which Chelsea rejected.

Hudson-Odoi has revealed a conversation he had with Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly.

According to Hudson-Odoi, the Chelsea owner had told him that he remains in the club’s plans and would return next season.

Hudson-Odoi also revealed that the club is trying to integrate young players into the squad, under the new leadership.

“It’s definitely different,” Hudson-Odoi told MailOnline of the new Chelsea regime.

“When a club is trying to get a player [on loan], they always want that option to buy at the end of the season. Todd was saying: ‘Listen, we want you back here’.

“You’re still on the radar of being wanted by the club. The way he’s trying to set it up, there are a lot of young players he’s trying to buy for the next few years.

“It shows he wants to integrate the players into the team and help them develop.”
