The Premier League made a return over the weekend, following a one-week break due to the passing on of the Queen.
League games were suspended last weekend, after the sad passing of the Queen of England, as a way of paying respect to her legacy.
This meant that Chelsea’s fixture against Fulham couldn’t go as planned, with the fixture having to be postponed, along with 9 others.
League action however returned over weekend, but a few games were also postponed, including the clash between Chelsea and Liverpool.
Seven league games went ahead between Friday and Sunday, with the likes of Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham all cruising to victory.
Movement around the table has affected Chelsea’s position on the log, with Graham side falling one spot down to 7th, while Manchester United are in 5th.
Further up the table, Arsenal returned to top spot, following their 3-0 win against Brentford on Sunday; Manchester City are back in second, and Spurs’ 6-2 demolition of Leicester City on Saturday see them holding on to third place.
Chelsea’s next league fixture will be on October 1, when the Blues visit Selhurst Park to play Crystal Palace.
