
The new Chelsea owners decided to sack Thomas Tuchel just after six league games, as the Champions League winner was given the boots by Todd Boehly.
Graham Potter was appointed as the new Chelsea manager and was given a five-year contract.
Former Brighton striker Neal Maupay has hailed Potter as a brilliant manager but is doubtful whether Potter will be given the time to succeed at Chelsea.
According to Maupay, Potter must be given enough time for his tactics to work successfully.
“Everyone is praising Graham Potter for what he did,” said Maupay. “Last season we finished ninth. But the season before that we finished 16th and we were only safe about three games before the end of the season.
“Football changes. Just because we were struggling yesterday doesn’t mean that tomorrow won’t be good. At Brighton we had two tough seasons and the third one was the good one. To build takes time.”
“I wasn’t surprised [that Chelsea appointed him] because he did a good job at Brighton.
“He is a very good manager but he won’t change things overnight. He will need time. The question is, will he get time at Chelsea?
“When you’re at clubs like that, you’ve got to win
