Graham Potter has led his Chelsea team for the first time since his appointment as Chelsea manager, and it ended in a 1-1 draw with RB Salzburg.

Potter’s Chelsea looked very brilliant, and the Blues were unlucky to have gotten just one point from this game.

When analysing the game, former Chelsea winger Joe Cole was positive about Chelsea’s first display under Potter, but also admitted that confidence is missing in the team.

According to Cole, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic look short of confidence, while young striker Armando Broja is still nervous.

Joe Cole said on BT Sport: “There’s a collection of players in this squad who are not in their best confidence.

“Confidence is something you’ve got to build up. Work hard in training, do the right things, it will come back.

“Ziyech is one of them, Pulisic another one not at their very best form. Broja is a young lad who’s going to be nervous, it’s a big step up from Southampton.”
