Revealed: What crazy RB Salzburg fans plan to do before  Champions League tie with Chelsea

Visiting RB Salzburg fans will hold a poignant tribute to the late Queen ahead of tonight’s Champions League clash at Stamford Bridge.

The Austrian fans will walk silently from Earls Court to Stamford Bridge as a sign of respect to her late Majesty.

Before kick-off, the usually passionate Salzburg fans will pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away aged 96 last week.

The Salzburg fans are usually passionate and noisy, but this will be a good one from them.

The Met Police have confirmed that the supporters will walk from Earls Court to Chelsea’s stadium in total silence.

They will also refrain from hanging RB Salzburg colours inside Stamford Bridge until the clubs themselves honour the Queen moments before kick-off.

The police tweeted: “For tonight’s fixture, @RedBullSalzburg supporters will be walking in silence from Earls Court as a sign of respect to the Queen.

“They will then cover their club colours inside the stadium during the clubs’ tributes to Her Majesty.”

However, after all these have been done, you’d trust the Austrians to return to their usual bubbling selves.

Chelsea fans should be ready for some crazy supporting at the away end.

Meanwhile, Chelsea fans have decided to honour Thomas Tuchel in tonight’s Champions League clash at Stamford Bridge by holding an applause.

The applause will be done in the 21st minute.

It has been chosen as the most suitable moment due to the Champions League trophy he won with the club last year – 2021.

The applause will replace the “crowdsurfer” which Chelsea supporters would have used as a tribute, but due to the Queen’s death they are not bringing out as a sign of respect.

Chelsea supporters group “We Are The Shed” said: “Tonight will be our first game since Thomas Tuchel got sacked.

“We will not be using the crowdsurfer out of respect to The Queen’s passing/pre match plans.

“Instead, we’re encouraging people to stand & applaud on the 21st min to say ‘thank you’ (the year he won us the CL).”
