Todd Boehly and Co made a surprise move to sack Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea manager last Wednesday.
The sacking of Tuchel came as a surprise to all, and even Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has revealed that the players were as well surprised.
“A lot has happened as everyone knows,” Jorginho said on Tuesday.
“We are excited to work with [Graham Potter] and his staff.
“It’s been good the first few days. We had a great, great time with Thomas [Tuchel] and we appreciate everything he did for us and for the club.
“It was a surprise for us. There is always talking about what happened but now we have games coming and life is quick, so we don’t have much time to stay there thinking.
“We talk and then we need to concentrate on what we do.”
Quizzed on if Potter needed to help rebuild confidence in the Chelsea squad, Jorginho added: “It was Thomas Tuchel’s feeling [that there was a lack of confidence] at that moment and he said that to us as well.
“We tried what we could to do our best. Unfortunately, it wasn’t working anymore.”
