It surely must have been a shocking experience for most of the Chelsea players as Thomas Tuchel was sacked the following day after the defeat to Dinamo Zagreb.

The former Blues boss was speaking about making things work after the defeat, only for him to be sacked the following morning.

Veteran defender Thiago Silva and a number of Chelsea players have sent their farewell messages to Thomas Tuchel.

“Beyond being good professionals, you and your staff were amazing human beings,” Silva wrote on Instagram.

“It was a real privilege to meet you and work with you. Thank you for everything Thomas Tuchel, I’m sorry I could not be more helpful! God bless you and your family.”

The likes of Mason Mount, Reece James, Kai Havertz and skipper Cesar Azpilicueta all thanked Tuchel for his time at the club.

Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic also wrote: “It was a pleasure to learn and work with you and your staff. Thank you, boss.”
