Chelsea announced the dismissal of Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea manager on Wednesday morning.

The German was in charge as Chelsea lost 1-0 to Dinamo Zagreb, and he was eventually sacked the following morning.

The sack came as a surprise to everyone, and reports claim even Thomas Tuchel didn’t see it coming.

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has admitted that what baffled him about the dismissal was Todd Boehly’s decision to back the manager heavily during the summer transfer window.

“I wasn’t actually surprised given how the game is at the minute,” the Arsenal and France legend told CBS Sports.

“What I was surprised about was why do you allow him to bring in all these players and then sack him after?

“I wasn’t surprised that he was let go because you can’t sack the whole team, sometimes the coach has to go.

“But you allowed him to bring new people in and then you sack him. That’s what’s weird for me.’
