According to reports, Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has rejected a new contract with the club.
Mendy is among the lowest earners at the club, as he currently takes home a pay package of £52k per week, after signing for the club in the summer of 2020.
Mendy earns way below second choice goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, who earns £150k per week following his world record move to Chelsea.
Chelsea have reportedly offered Mendy a new deal, which the goalkeeper has turned down.
According to Nizaar Kinsella, Mendy has turned down Chelsea’s initial offer for a contract renewal.
Mendy’s new contract offer is said to be inferior to Kepa Arrizabalaga’s current contract which he signed in 2018.
Mendy is one of the lowest earning player in the squad right now and his contract expires in 2025.
