West Ham skipper Declan Rice slammed the decision by referee Andrew Madley and VAR to overturn West Ham’s 90th minute goal.
Chelsea had to come from behind to beat West Ham 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues had gone down in the 62nd minute, but goals from substitutes Ben Chilwell and Kai Havertz sealed the victory for Chelsea.
West Ham thought they had scored a late goal in the 90th minute, only for VAR to overturn the goal as Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy was adjudged to have been fouled by Jarrod Bowen.
Declan Rice has called the decision an ‘absolute disgrace’.
“We’ve obviously just looked back at it as a team. I can’t say too much because if I say what I want to then I’ll get fined,” West Ham captain Declan Rice said when talking to BBC Sport.
“But how can you go over to the monitor and call that a foul, it’s an absolute disgrace. The lads and the manager are gutted and we feel like we could have come away with something.”
