See how Drogba reacted to Chelsea’s signing of Aubameyang

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has revealed his joy at seeing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sign up for Chelsea.

The 33-year-old joined Chelsea from Barcelona on transfer deadline day, and Drogba has backed him to be a success at Stamford Bridge.

He wrote on Twitter: “Finally!!!!! Remember the time we spoke about it years ago Happy for you brother.”

For Aubameyang, he has said he has unfinished business in the Premier League, having scored 92 goals in 163 games for Arsenal which helped the club win the FA Cup before he was stripped of the captaincy and exiled by Mikel Arteta.

Aubameyang has proven he can still produce the goods, having only spent six months at Barca but ended up scoring 13 goals in 24 appearances.

Upon signing for Chelsea, Aubameyang said: “I’m really happy.

“It’s an honour to be part of this team and I can’t wait to start. I have some unfinished business with the Premier League so it’s good to be back and really exciting.”
