Read what Aubameyang has to say after joining Chelsea

Chelsea and Barcelona have finally reached an agreement for the transfer of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on transfer deadline day.

Chelsea have now released a statement to confirm the deal.

The club released a statement: “Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has completed a permanent transfer from Barcelona to Chelsea.”

The deal also saw Marcos Alonso make the move to Barcelona.

Upon signing a two-year deal with Chelsea, with the option of a third, Aubameyang has said he’s excited about the move and has unfinished business in the Premier League.

Aubameyang said: “I’m really happy. It’s an honour to be part of this team and I can’t wait to start. I have some unfinished business with the Premier League so it’s good to be back and really exciting.”

Todd Boehly said of the deal: “Pierre-Emerick is an elite striker with a proven track record in the Premier League and his arrival strengthens our squad, giving us new attacking options.

“We are thrilled to have Pierre-Emerick on board with us in the new era at Chelsea and we’re really looking forward to working with him.”

  1. Auba, your wish will be done. Your intentions shall be fulfilled. I am sure of this. But oness as a team must reign, the needs to be unity because those who seek to leave must make their minds right to play for the team not as of old.
