Michy Batshuayi was set to seal a move to Nottingham Forest on transfer deadline day, but the deal fell through as Chelsea failed to provide the necessary documents for the transfer before deadline.
Fenerbahce have now offered an escape route to Michy Batshuayi.
However, Fenerbahce have agreed to take Batshuayi back to Turkey.
While the British transfer window shut last night, Turkey’s summer market remains open.
Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports: “Michy Batshuayi deal collapsed with Nottingham Forest because Chelsea didn’t send paperwork in time, busy on many deals.
“Fenerbahçe are now trying to enter the race and sign Batshuayi from Chelsea.”
Chelsea will get a €3m fee in the loan deal, including bonuses, according to Turkish daily Yeni Safak.
Batshuayi will be a free agent at the end of the season.
