Wesley Fofana has eventually sealed a transfer to Chelsea, as Chelsea spent a huge sum to lure him from Leicester City.
The 21-year-old centre-back has said that his aim is to win trophies with Chelsea.
He said: “The two last days have been really big days for me and I’m very happy. I trained this morning with the team and it’s a dream for me. I’m very excited to start playing games for the fans and the club.
“I’m here to win trophies – the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, everything. I came here to win and the club is built to win trophies so I’m here to continue that.”
Fofana also admitted that signing for Chelsea is a dream come true for him.
“Yeah, it’s crazy! Last season I had a big injury and now I’m sitting here one year after.
“It’s a dream for me because I’m very young and Chelsea is in my heart. Now I’m sitting here so I’m very happy.”
For Fofana, he wants to be the best defender in the world.
He concluded: “Of course it can a lot because it’s such a big club. For me, I want to be a big player, the best, and that’s normal because I play for the best.
“I’m sure this club will help me do that because it’s one of the biggest clubs and winning trophies is in the DNA here. Now I just want to be a part of that.”
