Chelsea legend John Terry admitted he was disappointed with the team’s 2-1 defeat to Southampton at the St Mary’s Stadium on Tuesday night.

John Terry tweeted his disappointment after the game and admitted he couldn’t wait for the transfer window to be over.

“I hate seeing us get beat,” Terry tweeted.

“Southampton were very good , but we look very unbalanced at the minute. I can’t wait for the window to close and get our settled squad, team and formation.

“We miss Reece [James] so much when he doesn’t play. 22 years old and a future captain in my opinion.”

Manchester United legend Gary Neville responded to Terry’s tweet as he mocked the new Chelsea owners for their flamboyant spending.

“Your man Todd Woodward needs to stop wandering round like a kid in a sweet shop!” Neville replied to Terry.

Neville added: “It’s just scattergun and unsustainable. I doubt this approach will go well.”

Chelsea have spent over £150m this summer on transfers, and the club is expected to sign Wesley Fofana for an additional £70m plus Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for around £23m – which could take spending to over £250m.
