Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has revealed that Kalidou Koulibaly will be back for the game against Southampton.
Koulibaly saw red in the 3-0 defeat to Leeds United at the Elland Road, and subsequently missed the win against Leicester City.
The Senegal international is now available for selection for Tuesday’s fixture, and Tuchel has backed him to play from the start away at the St Mary’s.
“He will play at Southampton, he will be on the pitch,” said the Chelsea boss.
“He’s a massive player for us.
“I already see him emerging as a leader. He’s a fantastic player, a fantastic personality, and I’m so happy with what I see, how he behaves, how he trains.
“I see a lot of quality and everything that is needed to be a leading figure at Chelsea.”
