Raheem Sterling opened his Chelsea account with a brace against Leicester City, as Chelsea won the game 2-1.
Sterling’s second goal came from a fine Reece James assist, as one of the right-back’s trademark crosses was met by Sterling.
Sterling has revealed that James had promised to provide him with such an assist.
The summer signing said: “I tried to stay at the edge of the box, have a shot [for the first]. I had a bit of luck.
“Reece told me he’d put one on a plate for me, he’s been telling me since I got here! We got a two-goal advantage & defended well.”
