Reports on Friday confirmed that Chelsea have reached an agreement with Leicester City for the signing of Wesley Fofana.

The Blues had seen three bids rejected for Fofana, but a fourth bid was finally accepted by the Foxes.

According to reports from French newspaper L’Equipe, Fofana will undergo his medical for Chelsea on Sunday ahead of completing his move to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have reportedly agreed a ₤75m deal for the French centre-back who will sign a six-year deal with Chelsea.

L’Equipe adds that Chelsea will pay around £70m within one year. That is considered a rarity for such massive deals, as clubs tend to pay such fees in instalments.

Fofana had forced Leicester City into selling, as he missed the team’s last two games and wasn’t a part of the team’s training as well.

The deal for Fofana is expected to be confirmed on Tuesday.
