According to reports, Chelsea are set to trigger the £12.6m release clause of Dynamo Moscow midfielder Arsen Zakharyan.
19-year-old Zakharyan is regarded as one of Russia’s brightest young prospects, and has been a revelation since making his debut for Dynamo Moscow in November 2020.
The young midfielder won the club’s Player of the Year award for two seasons in a row, and last season, he scored nine goals and registered nine assists in 34 appearances for Dynamo Moscow.
Reports emanating from Russia claims that Chelsea are set to trigger the young midfielder’s release clause.
Zakharyan’s agent, Pavel Andreev, has confirmed to Russia’s RB Sport that Chelsea’s approach is genuine.
Arsen Zakharyan’s agent has confirmed that the deal is close to being completed
It’s true. We’re close [to an agreement],” Pavel Andreev told RB Sport.
Zakharyan plays from the left flank and can play in central midfield. He has already been capped four times by Russia’s national side.
Zakharyan is seen as one of the next big things in football, and was ranked 11th in NXGN and Goal.com’s list of 50 most talented youngsters in world football, but his name was removed from the list due to Russia’s war on Ukraine.
