Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic is yet to feature for Chelsea this season, having suffered a knee injury that has kept him out of action.
Kovacic is back in training and should be available for selection ahead of the game against Everton this weekend.
The Croatian has revealed he was proud of the team’s performance against Tottenham, but admitted that Chelsea must improve from the game against Leeds United.
He told Chelsea TV: “We looked very strong we showed in the game against Tottenham, I think this is how we should play and go from the Tottenham game.
“Unfortunately we had a loss in Leeds I didn’t think we deserved to lose we have to keep going and consistency is the most important thing for us.”
Kovacic is glad to be back and admitted that being on the bench makes him nervous.
He added: “I am very nervous on the sidelines; I hate not being on the pitch as it is so difficult.
“I try and support the team in both good and tough moments, and I think it is important that everybody is involved, we act as a group and continue what we are doing in the last few years. That is how it should be.”
