According to reports, Chelsea are set to table an improved offer for Wesley Fofana.
Chelsea have seen three bids rejected for the Leicester City defender who’s keen on joining Chelsea this summer.
The Blues have made the signing of Fofana a priority, and reports now claim that Chelsea are set to place a fourth bid worth around £75m for Fofana.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the new offer will be worth around ₤75million, although the structure of add-ons is yet to be set.
Romano wrote on twitter: “Chelsea are preparing new proposal for Wesley Fofana. It will be around £75m, still deciding the add-ons structure. Deal still on through intermediaries.
“Leicester, waiting to receive the new bid to decide – as Fofana only wants Chelsea.”
Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed there is a high possibility this deal will be a success.
He told GIVEMESPORT: “I’m told that Chelsea will go back in for a fourth bid and there is optimism from my sources that the deal will still get done.
“They expect Leicester to drop their demands slightly, given Fofana is so desperate to leave and he’s doing all he can his end to do that right now.”
