Confirmed Chelsea’s Champions League pot

The pots for the Champions League group stage draw have now been finalised following Wednesday night’s Champions League play-off ties.

Champions League holders Real Madrid are in Pot 1, while last year’s beaten finalists Liverpool are in Pot 2 alongside Chelsea and Tottenham.

Premier League champions Manchester City are also in Pot 1 alongside German champions Bayern Munich, French champions Paris Saint-Germain, Dutch champions Ajax, Portuguese champions Porto, Italian champions AC Milan and last season’s Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt.

In Pot 2, we have Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla from the Spanish La Liga, while RB Leipzig and Juventus are also in Pot 2.

The Champions League draw will take place on Thursday at 17:00 BST in Istanbul.

This year’s group stage will run over a nine-week period from September 6 to November 2 due to the World Cup in Qatar.

The knockout stages will be played at a much later date.
