Chelsea have reportedly seen a bid of £70m rejected by Leicester City for Wesley Fofana.
Chelsea have seen two previous bids rejected for Fofana, and the club put out a third bid for the 21-year-old.
Having seen two bids rejected for Fofana, Chelsea put out an offer of £70m, which the Foxes failed to accept as well.
Reports claim that the Foxes are holding out for at least £80m.
According to The Telegraph, Leicester City snubbed Chelsea’s latest bid as they consider the add-ons ‘unrealistic and difficult to achieve’.
It seems there may not be a fourth offer from Chelsea, and the club aren’t willing to meet Leicester City’s £80m valuation.
According to The Sun, Chelsea have pulled the plug on their interest in Welsey Fofana after seeing a £70m offer snubbed by Leicester City and will now focus on other targets.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Fofana is pushing to make the deal happen, and Chelsea may use intermediaries to see whether an agreement could be reached.
Romano wrote on Twitter: “It’s not over yet for Wesley Fofana to Chelsea. Wesley’s pushing to join Chelsea, it’s his dream and ‘obsession’ so negotiations are expected to continue after £70m bid turned down.
“Talks are still ongoing with intermediaries in order to find the best solution soon.”
