Thomas Tuchel has revealed he has no plans to sign a new midfielder before the close of the transfer window.
The midfield duo of Jorginho and Conor Gallagher were outran by Leeds United in an embarrassing 3-0 defeat away at Elland Road.
With N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic out with injuries, it was put to Tuchel if he may need to sign a new midfielder, but the Chelsea manager thought otherwise.
According to Tuchel, he has five midfielders who can play the double pivot role.
Tuchel said: “Another midfielder? We have Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, we have Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Conor Gallagher, Mateo Kovacic…
“[Kante and Kovacic are] injured, yes, it’s a problem. But they will come back. They’ve not disappeared.”
Chelsea play Leicester City next, as the Blues welcome Brendan Rodgers side to Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
