The new owners have splashed the cash on the senior team, with signings like Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella.

Chelsea have also gone for young stars like Gabriel Slonina, Carney Chukwuemeka, Omari Hutchinson, Eddie Beach and now Cesare Casadei.

Casadei, Carney Chukwuemeka, Omari Hutchinson from Arsenal, Leo Cardoso from West From and Southampton duo Tyler Dibling and Eddie Beach all joining in one summer represents major academy investment from Boehly-Clearlake. It nears an estimated £40m total spend.

Todd Boehly is not only preparing a Chelsea team for the now, but the Blues are building a team for the future as well.

Chelsea have gone on to sign the next big stars in the game that will go on to be a mainstay in the first team for many years.

It’s also why Chelsea are pushing to sign up Everton’s Anthony Gordon and Leicester City’s Wesley Fofana who are both 21.
