Chelsea have seen two bids rejected for Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana.
The first bid was a reported £60m bid, while the second bid was said to be closer to £70m.
Leicester City do not want to sell the 21-year-old defender, and if they do, they’d want more than the £80m they received for Harry Maguire.
Wesley Fofana feels he is being priced out of a move to Chelsea, as he’s keen on joining Chelsea.
Sky Sports reports that the French defender is becoming increasingly unsettled at Leicester due to the situation.
Fofana is keen on moving to the next level, and he believes playing in the Champions League would increase his chances of making the France squad for the World Cup later this year.
Fofana is very pissed at Leicester City, and doesn’t want his club to frustrate the deal.
Leicester City legend Gary Lineker has now urged Fofana to stick with the club for at least one more year, after signing a new long-term contract, and also reminded the young defender of how the club stood by him when he was injured.
“Fear the worst but hope he finds it within himself to give Leicester City one more season,” wrote Lineker on Twitter as he reacted to the rumours of Fofana’s growing unrest.
“Signed a new long contract when badly injured. Another year and all the monster clubs will want you, Wesley.”
You’re kidding me? Fofana for £70m? This guy isn’t up to £23m for crying out load. Please stop throwing away money for average players. I watched that guy against Arsenal he was nothing but an average player.
