Confirmed: FA’s decision on Christian Romero for pulling Cucurella’s hair

Cristian Romero pulled Marc Cucurella’s hair during the corner kick which led to Harry Kane’s stoppage time equaliser.

VAR reviewed the incident but opted against taking any action.

The Football Association have also decided not to take any further action, meaning Cucurella would go scot free for his violent act.

Meanwhile, the Football Association has now charged Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte for improper conduct.

Tuchel seems to be at more risk of a sanction following his statement about referee Anthony Taylor.

The FA have opened an investigation into his comments following the match.

Thomas Tuchel was critical of both Anthony Taylor and VAR after the game.

Asked if Taylor should not referee Chelsea games, Tuchel said: “Maybe it would be better. Maybe it would be better.”

Tuchel also claimed his players were ‘worried’ about playing in matches officiated by Taylor, with Chelsea fans also not a fan of Taylor.

Asked about fans’ concerns, he added: “Not only the fans. You know the players, they know what’s going on when they are on the pitch. They know it.”

To me, I think Tony Taylor is bad news to all the teaming fans of this great club Chelsea. When his name came up, it was like oh sh***t. This is a joke. I actually thought we were gonna lose the match, fair play to us we did what would’ve won us the match with much more goals margin. I think, Anthony Taylor also need to be charged by the FA.

Taylor and all var officials who officiated on that game should explain why they didn’t make a decision on that incident

If possible I recommend that he should not officiate Chelsea games anymore unless he changes and take a central line.

I also don’t want AntoneTaylor to officiate any games Chelsea is involved.

  8. Anthony Taylor has to stop refereeing Chelsea games and focus on awarding penalties to Man Up instead.
