Chelsea have already seen two bids rejected for Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana.
Chelsea are believed to have tabled a third bid which Leicester City would accept, for a fee in the region of £80million.
Fofana has hinted that he would be joining Chelsea this summer.
According to reports, Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Fofana over a transfer.
Following Leicester City’s 4-2 defeat against Arsenal on Saturday, Fofana walked over to the Foxes fans on his own and applauded them in what seemed like a goodbye message, while his team-mates were at another area of the pitch chatting and swapping shirts.
Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers has urged Fofana to spend at least one more season at Leicester City before leaving.
Asked about bids for Fofana at a press conference on Thursday, Rodgers said: “There was two, but nowhere near what the club would consider.
“We’re not looking to sell. Naturally if there’s interest from other clubs, that is looked at by the club. He’s a top young defender and there are not too many around his age.”
“Another year for him at least would be really important for his development,” Rodgers added.
“Wesley is quite calm on the situation. He is aware of the interest. He’s just getting on with his work.”
