Chelsea met Tottenham four times last season, and the Blues won on all four occasions.
Last season, Tottenham boss Antonio Conte claimed that there was a huge gap between Chelsea and Tottenham.
This season, Conte has claimed that Chelsea shouldn’t be ruled out of the title race.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has however played down the statement made by Antonio Conte, and insists that he doesn’t believe everything said by the Italian.
“I never felt a huge gap in preparing these matches,” Tuchel said at his pre-match press conference on Friday.
“They were close matches and they are a very competitive and talented squad, I know very well what we invested and to what level we played to beat them four times and not concede a goal against this quality of a team and an emotional game in London that means so much for everybody.
“This was a huge effort and big consecutive performances from us.
“I don’t believe everything that Antonio Conte says before games and after games, I admire him a lot and I believe strongly that every team he trains competes for everything no matter which team it is or what club it is, that’s what he proves right now.”
