Malang Sarr has been shipped out on loan to French Ligue One side Monaco.
The 23-year-old would now spend the 2022-23 season on loan with Monaco, with the French club having an option to sign him permanently for £10m.
Sarr made 21 appearances for Chelsea last season, and was a squad player who ended up playing a number of important games for Chelsea.
Following his exit, young Chelsea defender Ethan Ampadu has been brought in to replace Sarr.
There were a couple changes from last week’s training, most notably with Ethan Ampadu replacing the recently departed Malang Sarr.
Ampadu has been linked with a loan move this summer, having spent last season on loan with Venezia.
However, recent reports claim Thomas Tuchel has made a U-turn on Ampadu, and he may stay back at the club just in case a defensive replacement isn’t signed.
Ampadu is very good.
