Summer signing Kalidou Koulibaly made his Chelsea debut in the game against Everton at Goodison Park last weekend.
It was the first time Koulibaly would feature in the Premier League, and the 31-year-old admitted that it was a tough game.
“It was a tough game and my first game in the Premier League,” Koulibaly told the official Chelsea website after training on Wednesday morning.
“It was a difficult because I’m not used to the rhythm but I tried my best, and we win the game, and I am so happy to win my first Premier League game. I am looking forward to winning many more games with my team.”
Koulibaly has admitted that he’s expecting another tough test against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
“It’s a big game at home, a London derby and we know it will be a tough game,” added Kalidou.
“Tottenham are a very good team with a lot of good players, we will work hard to be ready for Sunday to try and win the game.
“We know it’s going to be difficult, but we’ll be ready!”
