Chelsea skipper Cesar Azpilicueta is one of the last men left from Chelsea’s last title winning season.
Chelsea won the Champions League two seasons ago, and it’s the Premier League title that’s big on Chelsea’s agenda.
Chelsea started the season with a 1-0 victory over Everton, but it was far from a convincing performance.
Azpilicueta has now admitted that the team must learn to score goals if they want to win the league.
“You know, every team wants to score a lot of goals and not concede. It’s true that maybe at the top it is obvious for the last few years we were a bit far,” said Azpilicueta.
“You know it is five seasons since the last time we won the Premier League. We need to score goals if we want to win anything.
“We need to score goals and not to concede anything. Lately, the last couple of games in the Premier League, we didn’t score enough and with a half-chance we concede.
“So that’s our problem, and that’s why we finished third with 20 or more points behind Manchester City.”
I Chelsea needs to push hard to win the premier league
For me I need a strike
We must have a good striker
We need a striker and let it be a good striker
