According to reports, young Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has asked to leave Chelsea before the end of the summer transfer window.
Chelsea have only signed Raheem Sterling in attack, but the Blues are targeting other attackers before the end of the window.
Hudson-Odoi emerged as a buzzing 17-year-old winger under Maurizio Sarri, and even made the England senior team after a blistering start to his Chelsea career.
The 21-year-old has since dropped form due to injuries, and he spent the final three months of last season on the treatment table.
With competition strong at Chelsea, Hudson-Odoi has asked for a move away on loan, so he can get regular game time.
Leicester City and Southampton are said to be interested in a deal for the Chelsea winger.
Hudson-Odoi has struggled for regular first-team football at Chelsea and was left out of the club’s 20-man Premier League squad for the Blues’ opening win at Everton on Saturday evening.
Hudson-Odoi was once linked with a move to Bayern Munich, as the German sought after the Chelsea winger during his hey days. Injuries and lack of continuous football has stalled his progress.
Another Chelsea forward set to leave this summer is Timo Werner.
Werner hasn’t been able to replicate his scoring prowess in the Premier League and will now return to RB Leipzig, after two years as a Chelsea player.
Hakim Ziyech has also been linked with a move to AC Milan, but the deal has since stalled.
Chelsea will target some forward players to replace the departing attackers.
