
Chelsea have won the race to sign Marc Cucurella from Brighton.
Manchester City were leading the race for the 24-year-old Spaniard, but the Citizens couldn’t agree a fee with the Seagulls.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have reached full agreement with Cucurella.
Romano revealed: “Full agreement now reached between Chelsea and Cucurella on personal terms. Potential contract has been proposal approved, Marc’s prepared to accept once clubs agree on fee. #CFC
“Chelsea and Brighton in direct talks again today in order to complete the deal.”
The 24-year-old Spanish defender impressed in his debut campaign in the Premier League last season, and is now heading to Stamford Bridge.
Fabrizio Romano has revealed on Monday that Chelsea are close to reaching an agreement with Brighton for a deal for Cucurella, and it may involve Blues youngster Levi Colwill.
