According to reports, Chelsea have blocked Fulham from signing Malang Sarr.
Chelsea have reportedly rejected a bid from their west London rivals who are keen on strengthening their squad.
Fulham boss Marco Silva feels his side isn’t ready for the new season, and spoke on the need for new signings.
“I congratulate [my team] for the work they have been doing,” he said on Sunday.
“They were fantastic last season and they are working really hard. But we as a squad are not ready.”
However, Chelsea have rejected a bid from Fulham for 23-year-old centre-back, Sarr.
According to reports, Chelsea will not let Sarr leave until the club has signed reinforcements in that area.
Chelsea lost Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen to Real Madrid and Barcelona this summer.
The Blues also missed out on Jules Kounde and Nathan Ake – while Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso have also been linked with the Catalan giants.
So far, Chelsea have only signed Kalidou Koulibaly in defence, and the club has been linked with a move for Brighton defender Marc Cucurella.
Sarr made 21 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions last season, and the 23-year-old who joined Chelsea as a free agent from Nice, can command a fee of £15 to £25m.
