It has been an awkward summer for Chelsea, as the Blues have made a number of failed approach for targets.
Paris Saint-Germain’s new signing Nordi Mukiele has revealed that he turned down a late approach from Chelsea.
PSG completed a £12.6m deal to sign the 24-year-old from RB Leipzig.
Chelsea targeted Mukiele to provide a new right-back to provide competition for Reece James.
Following Mukiele’s move to PSG, the right-back has now revealed that he doesn’t regret not signing for Chelsea.
When asked by L’Equipe if he was tempted by Chelsea’s late approach, Mukiele replied: “Honestly, no.
“Once I’d given my word to Luis Campos… at no moment did I hesitate.
“Luis Campos focused on the idea that I would be in a team where the collective is the most important thing.
“He spoke to me about attitude, mentality, about these new things he wants to put into place.
“He knows my mentality, I am a warrior, when I’m on the pitch I fight for everyone. That’s what I’m going to do here.”
