Raheem Sterling completed a £47.5m to Chelsea earlier this month, and a lot is expected from the former Manchester City star.

Sterling has been one of the few bright lights in pre-season for Chelsea, and Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is excited about what he brings to the attack.

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has hailed Sterling’s attitude in training, and has revealed that the England international is a born winner.

“Sterling’s a winner, I’ve said that before. Every time you train with him – that will to win – if you play a little game of five-a-side or it’s a 10v10, he’s there and he wants to score,” he told Sky Sports.

“That’s just who he is. And he’s just fitted in so perfectly with the group.

“I know him so well so I knew he’d buy in straight away and he’s done that. He’s looked very good and it’s obviously exciting for us to have him here and see what we can achieve in the future.

“For both parties I think it’s going to work brilliantly. It’s on the right foot straight away. We are very excited for him to be here.

“There’s a good mix of us here, so I feel we are on the right track.”
