Since missing out on a deal for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde, Chelsea have now turned attention to Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana.

According to reports, Chelsea are now keen on a deal for Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana.

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea are interested in signing the highly-rated Leicester City defender, Fofana.

The 21-year-old defender can play either side, left or right centre-back, and fits Thomas Tuchel’s requirements.

Despite being just 21, Fofana has become a key part of the Foxes team, and played 28 league games for Brendan Rodgers side last season, even though he suffered a fibula fracture at the start of the 2021/22 season.

Fofana recently signed a long-term contract with the Foxes until 2027, thus increasing his transfer value.

However, reports have it that Leicester City will demand a world record fee for a defender to part with Wesley Fofana this summer.

Leicester City sold Harry Maguire to Manchester United in 2019 for a world record fee for a defender, as United paid a massive £80m transfer fee.

The Times now claim that the Foxes want a world record fee for a defender to sell Fofana to Chelsea.

Do you think Chelsea should go on with this move?
