According to reports, Chelsea and Juventus are already in talks over a likely transfer of Timo Werner.

Werner joined Chelsea two years ago, in a £47million move from RB Leipzig.

The German was expected to reach great heights at Chelsea, but he has struggled to hit the highs of his time in the Bundesliga.

In 89 games across all competitions for Chelsea, Werner has scored just 23 goals, with only 10 coming in the Premier League.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Werner is high on the list for Juventus, and talks between Juve and Chelsea began on Monday for the German international.

Christian Falk has also claimed that Newcastle are interested in a deal for Timo Werner.

Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel has said he’s keen on strengthening his left side.

“We are looking for guys who can play on the left side,” Tuchel told chelseafc.com after the 4-0 defeat to Arsenal.

“Toni [Rudiger] played on the left side and was not a left-footed guy, so maybe Kalidou can play there because he plays in a back-four on the left side, but let’s see what is possible.

“It is not only about bringing players in for numbers; we need numbers, we also need quality so we will make some decisions late, not only about players but also about systems. Ideally we would have a left-footer.”
